<7> Remote administration of Hadoop Platform
Requirements:
- Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure.
- Manage and support existing cloudera services as well as commission new nodes/services in the ecosystem using tools Cloudera Manager Enterprise
- Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines.
- Employ security using an authentication and authorization system such as Kerberos, Sentry. Must have good experience to secure the cluster by implementing user management using Kerberos, LDAP and Sentry with a good understanding ACLs.
- Screen Hadoop cluster job performances, capacity planning and rebalancing nodes in the cluster
- Troubleshooting system’s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks. Proving logical recommendations and applying cloudera best practices.
- Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security.
- Manage and review Hadoop log files.
- File system management and monitoring.
- HDFS support and maintenance.
- Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.
- Familiarity with apache open source configuration management and deployment tools
- Coordinate with Cloudera product support for product related issue and fixes.
- Apply Patches and enable new components from the Hadoop ecosystem
- Working experience on Cloudera Distribution
- Hadoop skills like HDFS, HBase, Hive, Impala, Kudu, Spark, MapReduce etc.
- Good understanding of Linux Commands and Shell Scripting
- Experience/knowledge on Apache NIFI.
- Good understanding of Security, Kerberos etc
- Knowledge of Troubleshooting Core Java Applications is a plus.
- Certified in Cloudera Hadoop Administration
